The Tohri range

Tohri is a Japanese scissor brand manufactured by Tokyo Riki Co., Ltd., founded in 1946 in Itabashi, Tokyo, the same factory that makes Butterfly, Hakucho, and Alu-Coba. Three models carry guide prices of $180 to $190: two cutters and a thinner in 5.5 and 6.0 inch lengths.

Tohri sits in the mid tier of the Tokyo Riki family, between the entry Hakucho ($175) and the flagship Butterfly ($250 to $350). The two Ryoko cutting models cover 5.5 and 6.0 inch; the T40 is a thinning model. Tokyo Riki has maintained its Itabashi manufacturing base since 1946.
