ABOUT US

TECHNOLOGY & DESIGN Precision machining technologies surpass hand work in preparation and grinding of the hairdressing scissor. Hand grinding can not achieve ultra fine tolerances that only 3D CNC Diamond machining can. All Sharpline’s Japanese made models start on the computer drawing board, with CAD CAM designs Sharpline can utilise new materials and alloys not possible to hand grind. The Sharpline manufacturing method allows sculptural and ergonomic individually custom fitted designs, the first in the world. Our factory is situated in Seki Gifu, famous for over 600 years as the centre of Japanese sword and cutlery manufacturing.

Sharpline and it’s manufacturing partners own more than 100 International Patents and Patent Pending. The main patented features unique to our manufacturing is the MicroSlit ™ Laser sharpening system, the Multishear ™ interchangeable blade system, the Combthru™ machined and polished thinning scissor tooth system along with many blade design features and blade alloys such as TVM Nanocarbide ™ alloy and Hybolt 19 ™ CBA alloy. The Ceramic Seamless Vacuum furnace with Nitrogen injection is the world’s most precise hardening and tempering technology, far superior to cheap, quick, oil quench hardening The highest quality alloys can take 9 hours to complete the hardening cycle. Our scissors emerge in perfect condition without twisting, distortion, variation or carbon migration.
