HIGHLY SKILLED Advanced Technology Our Manufacturing Commitment We are constantly mindful of “where our customers’ needs lie” and “whether users will be satisfied.” Before the manufacturing process begins, imagination and design based on that imagination are necessary, and these form the foundation of our manufacturing. We do not accept the data-driven manufacturing that has emerged from recent mechanization. We believe that scissors crafted through artisan skills are more valuable than producing many items in a short time. Screw Area Structure Scissors are formed by two overlapping blades. When in use, with the blades open, they form an unstable X-shaped configuration. To stabilize this, we designed the area around the screw in a circular shape. Furthermore, by installing bearings in this circular section, screw pressure is transmitted stably, resulting in improved cutting power. This is our circular three-dimensional contact point. LSBS Processing・Knife Edge LSBS stands for “Limitlessly Shallow Back Surface,” referring to the “back surface of the scissor blade.” Traditionally, the back surface had a concave “hollow,” but LSBS makes this “hollow” into a flat surface, securing more volume. This allows for the formation of sharp blades with consistent blade angles from the heel to the tip, which we call the Knife Edge. The cutting performance lives up to its name, delivering an unprecedentedly sharp cut. It also provides an extremely comfortable feel by preventing hair from accumulating between the moving and stationary blades. While scissors gradually change shape through “sharpening” and eventually reach the end of their lifespan after repeated use, LSBS ensures that the back surface is not affected by shape changes from sharpening. Therefore, the lifespan is dramatically extended compared to conventional scissors, making them capable of withstanding years of use. About LSBS Hair-Gripping Function CTN (Catch Triangle Notch) CTN features triangular notches cut into the stationary blade, and this shape enables the “no-slip” function. However, simply making a serrated edge is not sufficient. If the notches are too deep, the cutting feel becomes heavy, and if the spacing is too wide, it becomes impossible to catch the hair. Through repeated trial and error, we have arrived at the optimal shape. We offer two types: for wet cutting and dry cutting. ※Patent-acquired model About CTN Steel Materials The scissor material uses blade steel called special stainless steel. Our products are manufactured from the highest-grade materials that have gained worldwide recognition in the blade industry. The characteristic feature is that they consist of extremely fine particles, which is why sharp blades are maintained for a long time. The reason is that the moving and stationary blades rub against each other, and this suppresses the unavoidable wear. On the other hand, materials with coarse particles experience severe wear at the tip sections and cannot maintain their sharp state. As shown in the diagram, when compared, fine materials have small particles and wear is kept to a minimum. Furthermore, the fine particles adhere closely to each other and align. This leads to “flexibility” and provides a refreshing cutting sensation. Semi-Order System For cutting scissors, you can select blade lines and blade shapes according to your technique, and for thinning scissors, you can choose the thinning method based on cutting rate and head shape. We also create scissors after selecting handles that fit your hands. This is a system that finishes products according to each individual customer’s requirements. Therefore, we require several weeks for delivery.
